1. first make a sketch from the head, you can make more then 1 sketch if you want. On the sketch you should draw all things were are on the dragon, like the horns. you can draw some structures from the head, like the cheek and the eye. (tool: brush, size: 1, opacity: 150-160%)

2. now draw thinn lines over the sketch, take your time this is the best hint for good lines. (tool: brush, size: 1, opacity: 150-160%)

3. now color your dragon head (tool: brush or pencil, opacity: 200%)

4. now take a darker color then your main color and shade the parts from the dragon, where no sun meet the body. (tool: aerosol, size: 15-18,opacity: 30-40%)

5. now use a darker color then the first shadeing and darkened the first shadeing a little bit (tool: aerosol, size: 12-14, opacity: 30-40%)

6. now use a very dark color and darkened some little parts of the dragon where are cowered with 2 shadows, i love to darkened the lines from the muscles,they look stronger so. But don't owerdo it!(tool:aerosol, size:5-8, opacity: 40-50%)

7. now use a lighter color then the main color and light the parts where the sun meets the body. (tool: aerosol, size: 13-14*, opacity: 30-40%)
beware!: don't make it to light! this looks not realistic
*: when the rand from the light don't blur with the main color, the size is to little, then make the size 1-2 higher then before.

8. now use a lighter color then light 1 and draw some little parts where the sun meets the body directly (tool: aerosol, size: 5-8, opacity: 30-40%)
you can make some extras like the shadeing and light from the eye.

the tools, size and opacity are just hints, try to find your own style ^^ so that it is easyer for you.
often you need more then 3 shadeings or 2 lights, don't save with this.
